Bay,(insidesomalia.org)-Reports from Eldon location in Bay region confirm that armed killed a prominent tribal chief in the area.

This armed group escaped the scene immediately after the incident, and it is not manifest where they have proceeded to after the action.

The chief sustained almost four to five bullets on the head and the chest, and died instantly.

The body of the chief was brought at Baidoa town the headquarters of Bay region where he was very notable, and the town residents are organizing mass funeral for the chief.

The reports also say the security of the town is tighten, due the frequent raids carried to the governmental, posts and the Ethiopian bases specially during the night hours. 

On the other hand Baidao provincial commissioner Abdifatah Gessey has earlier said that his province is the most secure region in the country wide.

Baidoa is the current temporary base of the Somali transitional federal government.
